The Beginnings
La Photo Optical Center formerly known as Foto Center was founded in 1989 in Barletta, Italy, owing its existence to Vincenzo Russo’s passion for photography.
The enterprise, first being of artisan beginnings, has always been characterized by high quality in producing audiovisual materials and wonderful photography. In the following years Foto Center completed its production by introducing a photo laboratory for immediate film development and printing, maintaining the high standards of company production.
In a short period of time a new editing station and photo-video production post was launched within the enterprise.
The Growth
Entering the new millennium thanks to the collaboration of the optician Optometrist Angelo Russo the new section named Ottica started up. Since then the enterprise has been known as Photo Optical Center. In 2002 a new lab was needed for assembling the eyewear. Highly professional technical and par sanitary services, high quality materials and a wide range of outstanding brands led Ottica to a great success, giving vitality to the enterprise. In 2004 Vincenzo and Angelo decided to broaden the space of their enterprise by opening to publics a locally-based store. The success of both stores and the labs ensured the enterprise its firm position on the local market. In the end of 2005 under the direction of Angelo the enterprise reached internet by opening an EBay shop known as Optical Care. The exciting experience and new success achieved by the enterprise through computer trade stimulated its opening towards the global trade as well. Today
Starting from 2008 Ottica Italy
the online platform, will operate, able to spread out and make our products and services available to customers throughout Italy and all over the world.After a starting-up successfully first year a big graphic and functionality site upgrade has been developed and implemented for the platform. Angelo and Vincenzo have been running steadily the enterprise, clinging on tightly to its values being continued. |
